Spiritual Activities

Meditations and Recollections

Nairana offers a weekly meditation for university students on Monday nights at 7pm conducted by Fr Phil Elias, followed by a get-together, except for the third Monday of the month, where a recollection is done instead.

Recollections are best explained as an abbreviated retreat, a recollection allows one to take a step back from the hustle and bustle of daily life, so as to renew one’s relationship with God. It also offers the opportunity to reassess and renew resolutions and bring a fresh outlook for living well. Recollections are approximately 2 hours in length and include: a talk on Christian life, prayer led by a priest, benediction and opportunity for confessions.

Workcamps, usually situated in the Pacific, encourage university students to be generous by giving their time, energy and money to less-privileged people

UNIV is an annual international gathering of university students and graduates in Rome during Holy Week.

Retreats are not a luxury to be savoured by a pious few; they are absolutely necessary for our soul. Retreats offer daily Mass, time for personal prayer, reflections and talks.
