Year 7 & 8
Nairana’s programs are directed to the all-round education of young men. Students are welcome from all schools, cultural and religious backgrounds.
Weekly Club Afternoons
Frontier Club is a boys club for students in Years 7 and 8 which occurs every Wednesday afternoon.
Weekly study afternoons introduce boys to the idea of studying with focus: in silence and under supervision. This time allows each student to make progress in their homework and school assignments.
There is weekly input provided on some aspect of Christian life in the form of a brief talk or a time of prayer in the chapel.
Depending on the time of year, the afternoon is rounded off with a game of indoor futsal, backyard touch football or interactive games.
General Timetable
- 3:45pm: Arrive at Nairana for afternoon tea
- 4:00pm: Prayer in the Chapel - clear and calm the mind and body to prepare for study
- 4:15pm: Golden Hour of Study (Optimal Work steps and Inventory inc.)
- 5:15pm: Sport
- 5:45pm: Virtues Talk
- 6:00pm: Pick up
During the study time, students are taken individually for a mentoring session with a mentor.

Mentoring
Our one-on-one mentoring program aims to help students to formulate concrete goals to help them develop in their physical, psychological, emotional and spiritual life, through the cultivation of virtues. Their work and study is where they will grow the most in the virtues.
